Introduction
Attention! A very important event took place on Sunday, April 27, 2014. Pope Francis will canonized two previous popes: Saint Pope John Paul II, and Saint Pope John XXIII. The class is going to create small projects to celebrate the great event. Follow the steps below and I will show you how to do the project.
Task
You and your classmates will do some research about Saint Pope John Paul II, since he will become a Saint from YOUR LIFETIME! You will create a poster with the most important facts about him, and we will put it on display to decorate our gym during our assembly! First, you need a sheet of paper, and your invisible investigator hats.
Process
Step 1: Write down Pope John Paul II's real name, before he became Pope (hint: see the links below!)
Step 2: On your sheet of paper, answer the following questions:
     1) When was he born, and when did he die?
     2) Where did he live?
     3) What were three great things he did to lead Catholics closer to God?
     4) What miracle(s) have been done for his beatification and canonization?
Step 3: Take this information, and make a large poster which includes
     1) A visual of Saint Pope John Paul II
     2) Information about when and where he lived
     3) 3 important bits of information about his life

Step 4: On the back of the poster, write a poem that we can say to Pope John Paul II when he becomes a Saint!
