Today we reviewed sentences. A sentence:
1)Begins with a capital letter.
2) Ends with a period, question mark or exclamation mark.
3)Makes sense because it expresses a complete thought. It has a subject and a predicate.
Jesus wept.
This is a complete sentence
Jesus is the subject part( the noun) of the sentence.
Wept is the predicate part ( verb) of the sentence.
The subject tells who or what the sentence is about.
The predicate tells us about the subject.
