    1. I think you make a very good point Ms. B, because at first Cinderella was a maid and she made it through even with a horrible step mother and step sisters who disliked Cinderella and made her do all the chores, but now in the end she marries a prince and live happily ever after.

    2. I believe your theory to be true. In the story of Cinderella, she had a hard life, doing so much, and working so hard for her stepmother and stepsisters, without complaining. I'm sure she was kind to them as well. And after all the service she'd done for them, they were still really mean to her. The stepsisters tore her dress for the ball, and the stepmother purposely piled a lot of work on her so that she didn't have time to mend her dress. Cinderella's life was so terrible, but it did get better. Her fairy godmother appeared, she had a magical evening dancing with the prince, and soon after, they were married! I think Cinderella totally deserved to have a happy life, and she ended up with one. I think this is a message that should go out to a lot of people, because there are people with depression and they're sad that their lives are bad, but this story should reach out to them, and tell them and things are going to get better. ~Suzanne

  2. I think that Cinderella teaches people that you cant judge a book by it's cover, because Cinderella was a maid but the one time she goes to a ball the prince of the kingdom she lives in falls in love with her and they live happily ever after.

  3. I think that the message of The Transformations of Cindy R is that you need to stop letting people mistreat you and to learn to stand up for yourself.

  4. The message of Cinderella is hard work slowly rewards us at the end. If you are in a bad situation, lately there's been a lot of trouble and no way out. Slowly things will come together and hope will be available. Like Cinderella who was abused and occupied with all the demands from her family. She worked really hard trying to finish her work. But hope came to her, in this case the fairy god mother and the prince was a sign of hope.

    1. A very good point Azia, however I would have to disagree because even though Cinderella did do her work she had other stand up for her, which is a wrong message.

Kyle ( your point does still make sense )

  5. I really like the original story of Cinderella because growing up, she was my favourite princess. I always read the story when I was little but I didn't really understand the message until now, which is if you work hard for your dreams, there's a good possibility that they will come true. I also like this fairy take because it's predictable what will happen in the end, but it's different from all the others. I know this because Cinderella has always wanted to go to the ball and get dressed up, so she got through her chores from her stepmother and didn't give up. This way she got to go to the ball and marry Prince Charming. -Emily

    1. I totally agree with you Emily, because Cinderella had many things in the way of chasing her dreams. She still found a way to make her dreams come true because she never gave up.

    1. I agree with you Kyle because if you let people mistreat you your whole life, you'll always be unhappy. But by standing up for yourself it lets you be who you want to be and do whatever you want.

    2. Kyle, I think your statement makes a good point, because in the beginning of the story, you'd find Cindy agreeing and going along with what other people told her to do because " She always said that". She was letting people push her around and mistreat her even though it made her depressed because she was used to it.(From living her whole life like that.) You'd always see "But it didn't happen like that" before a major turning point in the story. Although, as the story moves on, especially after the fairy godmother appeared, she started taking matters into her own hands. ( Like kicking Jeff in the shins) Cindy, eventually, stood up for herself. So,"But it didn't happen like that..." became "She made it happen like that..."

  7. I think the story The Transformations of Cindy R. teaches the reader that you don't need a prince, a fairy godmother or popular friends to gain self confidence. The only person that could change the way you act is yourself no one else.

    1. I agree with you Kasandra because you really don't need a fairy godmother to make you popular and change the way you act. But you also have to stand up for yourself when someone tries to change the way you act or take advantage of you. You are you, you don't need to be popular or pretty to please people.

    2. I agree with you, Cindy R is about overcoming your fears, standing up for yourself and being proud of who you are. Also The Transformations of Cindy R is mocking the story of Cinderella. The main character of Cinderella depended on a fairy godmother and magic to live happily ever after but Cindy R realized that she doesnt want the magic help, refuses the fairy godmother's magic and breaks the godmother into pieces.

  8. I think the main message of Cinderella is like any other fairytale "Good triumphs Evil". This story tells us to always hope for the best and stay positive during a tough time because dreams do come true. Like how Cinderella stayed positive while her step-mother and step-sisters mistreated her while in the end she gets married to a very wealthy and handsome man then lives happily ever after.

  9. I think the story of Cinderella teaches us that no matter how many times you get knocked down you should still get up and great things could happen to you. When Cinderella told she could only got to the ball if she finished all her chores that he evil step mother gave her, Cinderella did all those things and never gave up. Cinderella ended up marrying a prince because she never gave up.

    1. I do agree with how you said that no matter how many times you get knocked down, you should still get up and good things will happens to you but, Cinderella didn't really work as hard to go to a royal ball and marry the prince. Cinderella had a fairy godmother who change her whole appearance that made her attracting to the prince.

  10. I think that the message of Cinderella is that working hard will reward you with nice things. Cinderella worked super hard, trying to catch up to all the work her stepmother and step-sisters gave her and when she was finished, they just piled up her chores even more. In the end, Cinderella gets what she deserves. After all the chores she has done to please the stepmother and sisters, she gets married to the prince and lives a happy life.

    2. I agree with Jhazel because she did work very hard and earned a great reward by getting married to the love of her life, but at the same time she needed to stick up for herself and shouldn't of let her stepmother/step sisters walk all over her like that, by making her do everything that needed to be done in the house. -Kasandra

  11. I think that Cindy needed to stand up for herself, and should not have to look a certian way to be self confidence in herself. ~Alyssa

  12. I think the moral of this story is to not judge a book by its cover which basically means don't judge something by its looks because you never know what could be hidden inside. For example the prince probably would never date a servant, but when he sees her inner and outer beauty he falls in love. -Jordan

    1. You have a good point but I have to disagree. I think that Cinderella is really telling the reader that you do need a Fairy Godmother and makeup and a dress and all those things to be loved by someone, which I don't think is true. I think your theory explains The Transformation of Cindy R rather than the story of Cinderella.
Still a very good point though.

  13. I think the transformation of Cindy R. teaches the reader to stand up for themselves and not be mistreated by others. If you let people treat you like a servant for your whole life, you will be very unhappy.

  14. I think the Transformation of Cindy R is a satire. This story teaches the reader that yes, wearing slimmer clothes and more makeup may make you popular, but it's not worth the time. It tells the reader that you should always be yourself, while Cinderella does the opposite. Cinderella teaches the reader that in order to find love, you must change who you are and the way you look. It tells the reader that doing otherwise means never having a future.

    1. I agree with you for Cindy but not for Cinderella because Cinderella didn't dress up and wear makeup to make the prince fall in love with her. she only did that to go to the ball and even when the prince found her he still loved her even though she was only a maid and didn't dress so beautifully.

  15. I think The Transformations of Cindy R. teaches you that you don't need a fairy god mother to make you attractive and popular. You don't need a fairy godmother always saving you from when you need help, you can always save yourself. You can't allow people to abuse and mistreat you. You are a human being. You have every right to stand up and tell them to stop.
