DeleteHaymitch, a drunk crazy mentor. Someone who laughs at the rich and stays sober by drinking and drinking. He's a wise mentor but is also a fool, he acts as if he's a but actually is a mindful person. He hates the filthy rich people and has compassion for the poor. H

DeleteEffie Trinket is the lady who is in charge of calling out the boy and girl tribute at every annual Hunger Games reaping day. Throughout the book so far, Effie's actions/behaviors have proven that she is completely oblivious towards the barbarism of the Hunger Games. For example, Effie always has a creepily cheerful smile throughout the days of her job, when no one in their right mind would nor should be happy about the slaughtering of children. This also leads me to believe that Effie is not a very bright person at all.

DeleteI would describe Katniss as a girl that keeps a lot to her self. as stated in the book she stated how she only sure she loves her sister Prim witch to quiet different because it's like your saying "I don't love my mom or anyone else, I only love Prim." She does do most of the work for her family because her sister and mother can't really do a lot, so Katniss would have to hunt to get food, she would have to get them all the necessities and do all the work for her family. She does not have the best like styles seeing she is poor and lost her father while she was quiet young. She is also I vey strong person mentally and I find that very inspiring.

I agree with you Kiara because Katniss is clearly someone who is tough around the edges and doesn't want to let others near her because it's more people to take care of and more people who she lets in.

DeleteHaymitch is a drunk man who can't forget about the past because he was a tribute in the Hunger Games for District 12. He can't forget how much innocent people he had to kill just for a reality show. He is also Katniss's coach technically because he has to teach them about the Hunger Games and how to survive there.

DeleteI would describe Peeta as a strong kind hearted boy. I think this because, when Katniss was in need he decided he would get hit by his mother to give burned bread to Katniss so she would not starve to death. Peeta is strong because, he knew that his mother would beat him if he burned the bread. But he did it anyway to help someone in need.

DeleteI am going to give my opinion Peeta's mother. I think she is a heartless woman and a horrible mother. I think this because she told her own son she thought he was going to die and that he had no chance on surviving the Hunger Games. This happened before the tributes left distric twelve and she said " We might have a winner this year, she's a fighter that one.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Brianna because she also knew how someone was starting and she did nothing to help them (Katniss and her family) and then she beat her own son just because he burned the bread and then she refused to even give Katniss the burned bread she told her son after beating him to give it all the the animals (even though he gave her a loaf)
DeleteMaybe she never developed great social skill and she considers the seam a place where it every man for them self and she doesn't realize that people are starving and need food all she wants is money and when katniss looked for food in the garbage can behind the bake shop when the lady saw her she probably thought that Katniss isn't a good person because she isn't paying she's just waiting for the bread the be thrown out so she can have free bread.

DeleteKatniss is a sixteen years old girl with dark hair and olive skin. She has a younger sister named prim and a mother that she lives with. They live in the country of Panem in the district twelve seam. District twelve is the coal mining district and the seam is the poor part of the district. I think that Katniss is a very brave person because she kills her food everyday in the forest which is illegal to go into and punishable by death and she volunteered for her sister Prim to compete in the Hunger Games which is a game to the death. Katniss shows true bravery. She go to the forest to get food because she has to and because she doesn't want Prim to starve. Prim is the only person that she truly loves and that is also why she took Prim's place in the hunger Games.

DeleteEffie Trinket. The epitome of a vain woman who cares for herself and her appearance far more than she cares for Katniss or Peeta. In my eyes, Effie is someone who just wants to get away from district 12 to get a higher job. I feel like she doesn't want to associate herself with people who are filthy and starved. People who don't live like she does simply becuase they were born somewhere where they can't live a perfect life like she does. Effie is the exact opposite of someone who is understanding of others' situations and that is proven by how rude she was when she was making a comment on how tributes from a year previous didn't have table manners as if that was important while they were on their way to an arena of death. In my opinion, Effie Trinket is simply just another person raised by the capitol to be some sort of perfect doll with perfect manners and great hair. She's someone who thinks that appearance matters and seems like an exact opposite of the main character Katniss Everdeen.

DeleteAdam you're mistaken. What I meant was she doesn't care about Peeta and Katniss. Also, Madge is not Effie's daughter; Madge is the mayor of district 12's daughter and Effie grew up in the Capitol.

DeleteI agree with Emma because even if Haymitch is drunk, he's just another victim of what the Capitol has done. In my eyes, even if Haymitch "won" the Hunger Games, I feel like he didn't really win because he drinks now to probably forget the emotional trauma of the Games. I can't imagine what killing people has done to him so to forget he drinks his memories away.

ReplyDeleteWell i think Prim is a Delicate loving girl the reason I think this is because 1 when Katniss took Prim hunting and Katniss shot an animal Prim said, while crying something like maybe we still have time to save it. the 2nd reason why i think prim is a delicate and Loving is because she takes care of one of the most ugliest cats according to Katniss. For example who would take care of an ugly cat? The only person I know of is someone that is loving. The last reason I think Prim is a loving and delicate girl is because she keeps a goat alive instead of killing it for food. For example if I was starving I would kill the goat and eat it.

ReplyDeleteI thing that Katniss is a courageous girl. The reason I think this is because she is willing to risk her life to save her sister. I also think that she is a caring girl because even if she is at war, she is still thinking about her families and Gale's safety.

Katniss is a brave and selfless young lady. She is willing to put her life on the line for her family no matter how far she has to go to do so. For example, when she was back home before she was selected for The Hunger Games she risked everyday of her life to hunt for food, so that she and her family have food to eat. She also volunteered for her sister Primrose, so that Primrose didn't have to risk her life in The Hunger Games. Katniss would rather risk her life for her sister. By:Pitino
