Today we reviewed types of mixtures.
We recalled that homogeneous mixtures (solutions) look like pure substances. In solutions, the solute dissolves in the solvent.
Solute - the lesser amount that melts in the solvent.
Solvent- the greater amount
Sugar dissolves in water. Sugar is the solute. Water is the solvent.
Sugar is soluble in water but insoluble in oil.
