Samuel De Champlain
Samuel DE Champlain was so important in the development,of New France because he was very good at exploring since he was a very famous cartographer.Samuel DE Champlain also founded a settlement at Quebec City, the first permanent for Europeans is what was to become Canada. This famous explorer also made alliances with the Huron and shot down the Iroquois and then started building a new colony for France. So it was obvious why he was known as the father of New France.
Religious Figures
Religious Figures in new France were very busy. The Jesuit Priests spread he Roman Catholic Religion to the first Nations, and to establish schools for boys. The Ursuline established schools for girls. The Ursuline left to live with the First Nations people to teach them Francs traditions and religions.
