The Jesuit Priests
The Jesuit priests were sent to New France (Quebec) to spread Roman Catholic religion and to open schools for boys. The Jesuit priests were founded by St. Ignatius Loyola in 1534. The Jesuit Priests had established schools for boys in some of the new settlements. The Jesuit Priests had achieved both of their main goals.
