Love is saying goodbye to your best friend

Even though you just want to hold her tight,

It's letting your loved ones go,

In the deepest, darkest night.

It's being nice to your worst enemy

And giving up the fight,

It's being the bigger person,

Because you know it's right.

It's being a good daughter

Listening to your dads lectures,

Showing your respect

It's one of those moments you capture.

It's babysitting your brother

While your parents take a break,

Or teaching him about the love

You could make.

It's seeing your sister cry

and feeling her pain,

and watch her tears

 resemble the rain.

Even though you are busy

Love is Spending time

With those you love the most

Or saving your lil brother

From the real scary ghosts

Its talking to dad,

Tossing around the ball

Or even taking your mom

Out to the mall

It's listening to your elders

Without talking back

Cleaning your room,

Without giving them slack

Its taking the blame

Without calling names

And when the 'fams embarrassing you,

To still not feel shame

Love is being there for others

Standing proud and faithful

Practice love, 'cuz we are all able

... to let others love you,

You need to do so too

....Love isn't different,

Love isn't odd

Because love is a gift

Love is not expecting something back

there isn't even a price for it to grow,

you can lend someone a hand 

because your love should always show.

It's not saying bad about your mom

you should always treat her right,

It's even telling your dad

that he's not a fright.

It's not putting your brother down 

or making him sad,

especially when you're angry

always try to make him glad. 

It's letting your little brother

play games in your room,

or trying to calm him 

when they call him rude.

Love is one of the hardest things 

once you mess it up, 

you cannot get it back 

so I'm afraid you're out of luck.

Love Is...

Love is being there for your friend

Even when it's rough,

Or letting him know he is not alone

When times get a little tough.

It's remembering to say thank you

For all that they've done,

It's going to the park with your brother

And having a lot of fun.

It's doing the chore's for your dad

When he never asks you,

Or letting your sister

Do all the things she wants to do.

Love is being there for your mom

When she calls,

Or letting her she's not alone

When she falls.

British Victory!

          After a long seven years, we have finally beaten the French and gained a new colony!  They battled in Europe, Asia, North America, Africa, and the Caribbean. The Plains of Abraham is where the French and the British fought for victory. At least 440 British soldiers were killed or hurt, but we still managed to win this battle and it's all because of Wolfe. Our smart general leader found a sneaky, yet difficult, way to attack the French to win over the land. He sent soldiers and some ships over to Beauport to trick the French into thinking they were attacking there. Then, Wolfe sent some of his best soldiers to attack at the west side of New France at Anse-du-Foulon. This was very tricky because the soldiers had climb up a very steep, yet short, cliff to attack the French.  Wolfe called this the "Beauport feint." The French thought they had an advantage because they were on the higher grounds, but at this point, they didn't. Wolfe created a strategy called "The Thin Red Line." He tells the first line to shoot, then tells the second line to shoot while the first line reloads. He then tells the third line to shoot while line one and two are reloading and then goes back to the first line. The French surrender and victory becomes ours. After New France became ours, we signed The Peace Treaty to keep peace among the French and ourselves.

          Through this war, unfortunately, the great Wolfe dies. We hope he rests in peace. Without him, victory would not be ours!

British On Top Since The Beginning

By now you've probably  heard about the seven years war that occurred between us British and the French way back in the 1700's. The British, led by General Wolfe and the French led by General Montcalm ended the war on the Plains of Abraham, in 1759. Expected, the British won. Most believe they won because of Wolfe and the three battle strategies he used to defeat the French, the Thin Red Line, The Beauport Feint, and of course the British fleet. What was so remarkable about this win was that the French were on high ground, they had the advantage, yet they still lost. A truly crushing defeat for the French, and a truly victorious win for Britain . In France's loss they also lost their general Montcalm. Sadly we also lost our general, but he died in honor. All this means Britain  was a European power house since the beginning!

When you are a secret Santa to your enemy

You should still give them a good present,

Or when you greet them on the street

 you should still be pleasant,

Going to the train station to meet my Mom

on a cold winter day,

Listening to her in the car

complain about her bad day,

Letting my Dad watch

his favourite sports on the TV,

Even though there are a million and one other things

I'd rather see,

Saying your friend is a good singer

but she is not,

Sometimes we lie to others

because we don't want our friendship to rot.
