British On Top Since The Beginning

By now you've probably  heard about the seven years war that occurred between us British and the French way back in the 1700's. The British, led by General Wolfe and the French led by General Montcalm ended the war on the Plains of Abraham, in 1759. Expected, the British won. Most believe they won because of Wolfe and the three battle strategies he used to defeat the French, the Thin Red Line, The Beauport Feint, and of course the British fleet. What was so remarkable about this win was that the French were on high ground, they had the advantage, yet they still lost. A truly crushing defeat for the French, and a truly victorious win for Britain . In France's loss they also lost their general Montcalm. Sadly we also lost our general, but he died in honor. All this means Britain  was a European power house since the beginning!
