Acadia
The French colony of New France was vulnerable in the 1700. It was almost entirely surrounded by the British. After France gave up Acadia to the English in 1713, it depended on its relationships with the Native Peoples since the British could cut off supplies. The First Nation Peoples showed how to survive. They taught them how to build and use snow shoes and use sleds.
